Afterschool Activity - Register for Alhambra Youth Basketball

Looking for something fun to do after school? The City of Alhambra is hosting a basketball league for 3rd-8th graders!

Northrup students will practice together everyday on-campus afterschool. Games will be held on Wed, Thursdays, or Fridays at Almansor Park.

Our Northrup team is especially looking for 5th & 6th graders! The 5th/6th grade team needs at least 2 more players or they will be forced to play with the 7th & 8th graders.

Games are starting this week! Last day to register is this Friday.

There is a $30 fee to register. Please call the City of Alhambra's Recreation Office at (626) 570-5081 for more info & to register over the phone. Their office is open from 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM.

PTA Meeting TODAY at 6 PM w/AUSD School Board Members

We will be sharing information on upcoming school events and updating everyone on past fundraisers, school competitions, and activities.

Reminder - Test Before Returning to School

Friendly reminder that students need to complete a COVID test TODAY before returning to school. 

Some new steps this week:

• By 5:00 PM this afternoon (Mon 1/17) complete this Google form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScJk5oSOF84XSgw4oorCz3bprXTIkD6SmvNmvXF2-ktcuu5Mg/viewform) and upload a photo of your child's test results.
• Photos of the used test device must be taken after the test result is ready and the control and/or test line is still visible.

• Before taking a photo of the test results, write the student's name and the date the test was taken on the test device. Upload this picture to the Google form.
  
• If you can't upload the form, email it to the school principal, Dr. Northcott.

If your child tests positive, keep them home from school. Let the school know as soon as possible by filling out the Google reporting form.

This information was included in an email Dr. Northcott sent home on Friday with the subject, "Administering student antigen tests over the weekend."

Students were given 2 rapid antigen tests at school on Jan 7. You may use one of these tests to check your child. As a refresher, AUSD suggests watching this video from start to finish before using the test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBt_H4Gc-rU

Report your results - negative or positive - to this website: https://my.primary.health/r/alhambrausd?registration_type=student
Schools will use these results to verify that the student has tested, so be sure to report negative results as well.

If you don't have internet access, you can also report your results by phone to 650-275-5419

If your child received a positive result, please call the Northrup School office after you've reported the result to the reporting website/phone number.
